Deep Roots, Authentic Wines.
An Indissoluble Bond Between People, Land, and Wine
Our wine is born in an extraordinary region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Abruzzo hills, where climate and soil create unique conditions for viticulture. Our cooperative brings together around 670 members, guardians of more than 1,600 hectares of vineyards spread across several municipalities. Every row of vines is the result of deep-rooted agricultural tradition and profound respect for the environment.
We work in harmony with the land, enhancing native grape varieties and preserving biodiversity. Our commitment to sustainability translates into farming practices that honor both the soil and the people who cultivate it: we reduce the use of chemical inputs, promote biodiversity, and invest in production processes that safeguard the ecosystem.
But sustainability, for us, is not only environmental, it is also social. We actively collaborate with the local community, supporting cultural and social initiatives that contribute to the region’s growth and the well-being of its inhabitants. Being a cooperative means preserving a deep bond with our people and passing down a heritage made of passion, innovation, and tradition.
Environmental Sustainability
Colle Moro is committed to protecting the environment through sustainable agricultural practices. We reduce the use of chemical inputs in our vineyards and promote biodiversity to preserve the local ecosystem. We adopt innovative technologies to minimize environmental impact, including the use of renewable energy and efficient water management. These efforts reflect our dedication to a greener, more sustainable future.
Social Impact
Aware of our role within the region, we actively collaborate with the local community. We support cultural and social initiatives that promote development and enhance the well-being of its residents. We believe that a winery should be not only a productive enterprise, but also a driver of social and cultural growth, contributing to the vitality and cohesion of the community.
Our Territory
Located in the heart of Abruzzo, Colle Moro enhances the distinct character of the region by showcasing the unique qualities of native grape varieties such as Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.
The province of Chieti is among the leading areas in Italy in terms of vineyard surface, thanks to an exceptional environment influenced by the Majella mountain range and the Adriatic Sea, which provides ideal conditions for optimal grape ripening. Here we preserve the traditional pergola abruzzese, a historic training system that protects the clusters and strengthens the enduring bond between growers and the land.
Production Processes
Our production processes combine tradition and innovation. We employ cutting-edge technologies to ensure efficiency and sustainability, while preserving the traditional methods that give our wines their distinctive character and deep connection to the territory. This balance enables us to offer high-quality products, respecting the environment and enhancing the local winemaking culture.
Colle Moro is equipped with a barrel cellar with a capacity of 1,500 hectoliters, a modern bottling line, and a dedicated production line for Bag-in-Box packaging.
